Christian Rome began with apostolic times the I century.
After sermons in Rome of apostles Peter and Paul about coming to Christ Redeemer's world, after their martyr death, the community which was already called as Christians increased, caused fears and fear of pagans.
Persecutions on Christians began at the emperor Neron who betrayed martyr death of apostles Peter and Paul and proceeded before the beginning of the IV century.
In 312 g the emperor Constantine the Great published edict about the termination of persecutions on Christians, and in 313 – Milan Edict about a freedom of worship.
Edict legalized Christianity and I allowed departure of Christian ceremonies and I provided return to Christians and the Christian communities of all property which was taken away from them during persecutions.
Visiting Rome, you will see a large number of Christian churches, cathedrals and basilicas very beautiful, majestic and grandiose.
On which creation great masters of the time worked: Bernini, Borromini, Michelangelo, Domenika Fontana and other outstanding architects. Apostles Peter and Paul— heavenly patrons of the city of Rome!
Their memory is celebrated on June 29th — the official day off.
